The Google MyTouch 3G follows up the Google G1 with a much more sleek style and design. The G1 was bulky and somewhat thick, so to revive the model the keyboard has been sacrificed on the 3G making it much more like the iPhone’s touch screen only design.
Most of the biggest differences with the Google MyTouch are aesthetics. They went with a slimmer design to target people looking for an upscale type of look. This phone can be completely customized from wallpapers, outer shells and widgets. One of the biggest editions to this phone was Microsoft Exchange which allows users to easily exchange their calendars and contact lists, as well as documents.
The screen is a pretty good size at 3.2” and the 3G weights only 4.1 ounces compared to the G1’s 5.6 ounces. The MyTouch also has a very good 3.2 megapixel camera and video recorder built in. Like the iPhone, the new Android OS allows MyTouch users to turn the phone on its side and the display will change.
One of the best features of this is all the access there is to Google applications. Since this is a Google designed phone and operating system it has the ultimate Google capability featuring Google Talk, Gmail access, Google Calendar and Google Contacts. The new Google MyTouch is the primary phone that can compete with the iPhone.

They are everywhere! Your friends have them, family, children, business associates, everyone has one! I’m talking about PDA Phones! Phones like Blackberry’s, Palm’s, etc. These gadgets are everywhere. They are a normal part of everyday life and business people absolutely have to have one in order to do business these days. Everyone needs to be connected from anywhere and at any time. Even the people that don’t “need” them have them!
There have been studies done about what people feel are necessary items, and guess what one of those ‘necessities’ is? It’s a mobile phone. Let’s take that one step further. PDA Phones are not just mobile phones they are mobile devices. What I mean is you can call anyone at any time, browse the internet for a place to eat, do shopping from your phone, schedule meetings and appointments on your calendar, and they even have GPS so you won’t get lost. Mobile phones are gone, kaput! They no longer exist. It’s all about the PDA Phones that serve multiple purposes.
Mobile devices are currently a big part of our everyday lives, this will not change, and in fact PDA Phones will become even more important heading into the future. You’ll be able to keep in touch with people through social networks faster and easier. The social interaction will primarily be based through phone communication of some sort; computers will even be used less frequently. Is there something wrong with this? Absolutely not!
